The
following is a brief introduction to the Managing Partners of Houston
Drilling Management, L.L.C..
Mr.
Chris Thomasson is President and co-founder of Houston Drilling
Management. He is involved with the business development and operation
of the company as well as serving clients in an advisory role. He began
his career with Chevron USA, Inc. in 1976 where he worked as a drilling
supervisor on drillships, semi-submersibles, jack-ups, platform rigs,
inland barges, and land rigs. His job classification within Chevron
included Drilling Project Manager, Drilling Training Supervisor, Drilling
Engineer and Drilling Supervisor on assignments both domestic and international.
Mr.
Thomasson has operational experience in the Gulf of Mexico, Texas, Louisiana,
Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Florida, offshore New Jersey, the
North Sea, Australia, India, Spain, Brazil, Yugoslavia, Denmark, Holland,
Israel, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, and Ecuador.
He
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas
A&M University, class of 1977.
Mr.
Ken Stanley serves as Vice-President and is co-founder of
Houston Drilling Management. He began his career in 1975 with Chevron
USA, Inc. where he worked as a drilling supervisor on a number of rig
types. He has supervised floating operations from drillships and semi-submersibles,
as well as offshore projects using jack-ups, submersibles and barge
rigs. Mr. Stanley also worked as a drilling superintendent responsible
for four helicopter rigs operating in the remote interior of Sudan.
He
has also supervised five platform rigs drilling extended-reach development
wells and performing remedial work in Chevron's Ninian Field, offshore
Scotland. In addition, his North Sea experience includes supervision
of exploratory wells drilled in water depths to 2,700 feet from semi-submersible
rigs. During his consulting career he has performed duties as a drilling
supervisor, drilling engineer, and drilling manager to a number of clients
involved in exploration and production activities in both domestic and
foreign locations.
Mr.
Stanley has operational experience in the Gulf of Mexico, Texas, Louisiana,
Oklahoma, Spain, Denmark, Malaysia, China, Tunisia, Sudan, Egypt, Israel,
Trinidad, Guatemala, and the North Sea.
He
